I've been looking for a software alternative for my Akai S2000 for a long time. I've used: Halion, Kontakt, Impact, Intakt, DR008, FL... oh well let's be fair about every crack I could get my dirty hands on, even bought Emulator X and none of them I really liked. I've been waiting for the Akai VZ8 but gave up on that since it will never come out.
So I looked into buying the RMIV and lo and behold it will come with T2. This made me jump for joy! I downloaded the demo toyed with it for a wee while and have to say that I do like it.
Since I cannot believe that the library that comes with the 149 USD version will come with T2 as well I started searching for kits on the net. To no avail so far.
I have a couple of questions:
1.Where can I buy kits for the RMIV?
2.Where can I download free RMIV kits?
3.How can I export my Akai library in a way that RMIV will be able to read it?
4.Is there another format available that RMIV can read or is easily convertible into a format that RMIV can read?
I am mainly interested in acoustic drums.

You can download ns_kit for free from www.naturalstudio.co.uk and go to www.groovemonkee.com to download a RMIV map (in the ns_kit goodies menu item at Groove Monkee)
