T2 - a massive disappointment

Ixox, I did reference your post, but it wasn't directed at you completely. It was directed more at everyone who complains that these should be a 1.7 release, as it's FAR beyond that.

And you may be in software, I'm not doubting that you are. But nobody here knows how long it took Jules to add everything he did. How much do you think he had to RE-write because of the new code? I don't have a clue, but I'm sure he didn't just take month long breaks. He took the time needed to add a TON of features, and to have a stable product, which is essential.

And as LM said, why should these have been incremental releases? Where was Jules supposed to make any money if he never got to charge for a new version?

And I have asked before, but I want to see some PROOF that Mackie is bad for Jules and Tracktion. I can name several FACTS about how it's helped, but nobody who criticizes can come up with something to defend their anti-Mackie raid. And even if you could, the pros would far outreach the cons. Tracktion can now go somewhere that it couldn't go before. And that benefits it's users, although some people don't seem to understand that.

what facts ? it all depends on t2's succses on the market, and for that there are no facts because it isn't on the marked till now. pro or con it's all speculation.

pro: Jules personally stated years back that the effort of maintaining his site, managing accounts, providing support, and developing TRacktion had simply become more than he could manage.

That's a fact. That's why we have Mackie. That's why TRacktion will be available in stores where guitarists who've never heard of KvR shop.

One thing - Mackie sales indicated to me that the upgrade price will only be know when T2 is officially for sale, so you can stop asking. Everything will be known at the same time.

It's not that what you are saying is wrong, it's just that I think that we could have had incrimental updates that would have covered most or all of this. Of course that would never happen because of the "macktion" thing..........which is the "real" problem.

And .........I have to always add this even though it's a bit off topic.........we still do not have a real release date, we still have no upgrade price/how to.

Now i will begin everything i say by "I love tracktion but"

So, i love tracktion but if i had described 2 years ago how i thought Tracktion would evolved in 2 years i would'nt have described Tracktion 2 how it is today.

Now i stopp complaining i love tracktion and it's my favorite sequencer, i'm happy Jules and Tractkion have so much succes. And i think Jules deserves to be very rich thanks to Tracktion...(even if he took too much hollydays last 2 years )
