Maybe everyone else already knows this, but I thought I'd share. Select an audio clip. Click the Loop this Clip button and select any number. Now if you change length of the clip using its arrow handle, you can actually change how many times it loops. It works just like painting loops in Acid.

You know you can also split it with the "/" shortcut.. and stretch any of the new clips in the same way.

speaking of discoveries.. here is one I just discovered in T2...
right clicking the little piano popup to the left of left of a midi clip gives you the option to switch displayed octaves between 1 thru 4, and full scale. This is much more useful imo than dragging the piano roll to resize the vertical scaling.
also (tho this might have been there in T1), holding [alt] while dragging inside a midi clip permits you to scroll vertically within the clip. Much like holding the spacebar with photoshop. Another useful one that must have snuck past me if it was in t1.

I always use control-scroll over the piano keys to adjust displayed octaves. Its even faster than picking from a list to me.ModuLR wrote:

The selectable note velocity drop down, is very slick... makes doing adjustments on clips much quicker than in a lot of other apps... Also I noticed the midi mapper setup... which I didn't even know existed?? Was that in T1? Works great with my PCR-30... except the transport?? There must be some other stuff in here I wasn't aware of... Hmmm!!

You probably need to enable midi machine control for the relevant MIDI input to get transport controls.. (timecode menu)DHR53 wrote:except the transport??

yup, make sure that T2 is set to recieve MMC from the device. you may need to configure the buttons specifically tho, i'm not sure what presets the PCR-30 comes with. If you download the EDIROL PCR-Editor program (if you don't already have it) you can select the buttons and assign them SysEx messages. You can get the actual SysEx strings required from the guide sticky thread.
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

So where do you find the mappings for the T transport controls now?? I set the MMC to the Edirol PCR-30... Do the buttons have to be set to sysex?? I have set the PCR to control transport on Reason 2.5 by assigning the buttons controller nos. Haven't tried MMC... Use the PCR editor a lot though...

these are the sysex strings for the MMC commands. in the pcr editor select the button you want to use for a particular transport duty and set it to SYSEX type. then just copy/paste the string from below (the bit inside the brackets) into the data field.
[ F0 7F 00 06 01 F7 ] -- Stop
[ F0 7F 00 06 02 F7 ] -- Play
[ F0 7F 00 06 04 F7 ] -- FF
[ F0 7F 00 06 05 F7 ] -- REW
[ F0 7F 00 06 06 F7 ] -- Rec
send the settings to the keyboard, then make sure that T is set to recieve MMC from that device. it should work then
