anyone know if feedback will work w/ a bcr2000 ?

The manual says it does, but from first impressions of the BCF, i would say it probably won't when using it in Tracktion. The only way i've so far found to get tracktion to send feedback messages is to map the BCF as if it were a mackie control, using the latest firmware off the behringer site. There's no such feature for the bcr2000, so i don't think it and T will play ball in that way. But i've not tried it.

On another note, how do you get the bcfview utility to work with tracktion at the same time? If i turn it on, then turn on tracktion, bcfview springs into life, but tracktion reports it's unable to open the midi input, and disables the bcf's input. So I can't then use it to mix T. It's as if BCFview hogs the midi in and hides it.

[EDIT] You need to install behringer's own BCF drivers rather than the XP's native driver to let the device be shared by midi apps such as the bcfview and tracktion. Another minor puzzle sorted.[/EDIT]
"my gosh it's a friggin hardware"

Semiquaver, this may help -- At first I was experimenting with the "learn" function of the BCF. Hit the Learn button, move the controller you wish to map, and then move the button onscreen. Sometimes it takes a few tries. I was able to map the faders in this way, but had some trouble with the pans. I was planning to manually edit them using the BCF software preset editor (downloadable from the Behringer site), but then I discovered Mackie emulation. Since the BCR doesn't have emulation mode, you may have some success with this alternative method.

thanks iggle, chico - I don't hove the BCR ... yet, but I'd prefer it to the BCF all things being equal.

But that emulation mode might make the difference...
