The easiest way (and the most flexible way) is to render the audio to a new track.
It's like freeze, only with added calcium.

Yeah, but you still need to unload the VSTi to release the RAM and most important you need to save your settings in a preset if you want to "unfreeze" it later._oswald wrote:The easiest way (and the most flexible way) is to render the audio to a new track.

So yeah it's doable but it's not really a freeze function anymore that you can unfreeze easily.
