Project management.
It gets very cluttery at times with so many projects showing up in the projects tab... If we could add folders besides the active projects and the library projects folder, things would be a lot neater. I usually have anumber of projects going at a time.

Fades.
When muiltiple regions are selected.. you can split them and trim them proper now. However, fades still work on only one track at a time. Having fades work in a similar manner as split/trim over multiple regions would make assigning accurate fades a snap..

Fantastic that we can now show/hide the inputs and the filter pannel. I was also hoping to be able to do the same with the properties bar which takes up a significant ammount of real estate in the lower half of the screen. And for me, is not accessed that often.

Well.. actually it's with T2 now that you can think of getting rid of the properties pannel. Since i would presume that almost all tools can now be assigned a shortcut ? It's not that im a wiz (actually i am, but ill be modest). End of the day.. once youve got your workflow set, they are these set number of tools that you use, and they arnt all that many.

I hope (actually I'm pretty sure) this is already on the list. Its been requested consistently for a long time. I'm sure its one of those 2.x upgrades.sidhu wrote:Project management.

I fail to understand.. when i route audio to a subgroup.. i dont have any event that I can ssign fades too.. do u draw another event ??PT wrote:Fades.
I usually route all tracks to a track I label "sub master" and put master fade on that. Though I rather export the entire mix to a single wave for mastering, fading, etc.
there are segments in the siong where there is a 16th note pause.. i want to have a sudden fade after the last beat of the previous bar.

About project management:
I recently figured out how to manage my project with tracktion. At first I just had all my "work in progress" projects opened as Active Projects and all of my "Finished/Will work on them in the future" projects opened as Library Projects. Soon enough trecktion projects page became cluttered an unfriendly.
After reading the new manual (thanks valley) I realized that I misunderstood what library and active means, and rearanged all my projects. Now things work pretty simpely.
What I did is made a few projects like "midi drum loops" and "samples" etc. and stored them in the library projects, that way you can use these files in other projects without actually importing files into the project. The library projects share their files with other projects. Now when I want to work on a project I go to the project directory double click the froject file and tracktion opens up and adds it to the Active Projects list. When I finish working on it I close the poject until the next time I want to work on it.

Panning
Adding another panner plugin with dual pan mode for stereo tracks panning (not balancing as it now is..) would be killer. Does the MDA stereo plug do this.. have not tried it.

phase reversal switch.
Could be included within the level control plug.
I was trying some stereo micing techniques today, and need to phase reverse one channel.. started looking for plugs, and the only i could find with a phase switch was the Paris EQ. But i dont like this plug much. (also i think it does a little soething to the sound even when no bands are in use.)Many of us i would presume dont have consoles with built in phase reverse switches.
Are there any dedicated phase reversal plugs out there ? Must be.

Note to Jules: The phase invert might make more sense on the level/pan filter ...
