Hey,
Just wondering a few things on projects in T1.
1. How do we "save" the type organizer? I have so many wavs and exported wavs and mixes on each project, yet it seems never to save that I want the Edits on the top.
2. Is it possible to run the "basic audio editing" from the edit window? If not, is it possible to select a wav from the edit window and go to project window to select it for basic audio editing?
3. What is the best method to starting a new project? Do we just make a new folder, say d:\tracktion sessions\song 1 ...? Then all the sources will be saved there correct?
4. Is export 1:1 tracktion archive a "safe" procedure? If i .rar them to archive to CDr backups will this be a good method?
5. Is it possible to "multiple delete" clips + sources in the edit window?
Thanks

hmmmnnn ... odd ... here T1 (1.6.0.1) seems to remember that for me automatically ... per project toorpc9943 wrote:1. How do we "save" the type organizer? I have so many wavs and exported wavs and mixes on each project, yet it seems never to save that I want the Edits on the top.
from the edit page ... select your audio clip ... hit the 'view source info' button in the properties panel and then go to 'edit audio file'rpc9943 wrote:2. i have a template folder structure set up with all my usual subfolders etc and each new project i just copy and rename this before creating the new project inside it ... IIRC all your created audio and MIDI will be stored in the same location as the edit file itselfrpc9943 wrote:3. What is the best method to starting a new project? 1:1 should only create normal .wav files so should be as 'safe' as any other archiving method ... if you need to compress the archive prior to backing it up then IMHO .rar is at least as good as any non-specialist compression method ... some say its possibly the best multimedia compression toolrpc9943 wrote:4. yeah ... select your mutiple clips (either by shift-click to consecutively select or alt-click-drag to lassoo them) ... hit 'delete' in the properties panel and choose 'remove the clip and also delete its source audio file' (or just make your selection and hit ctrl-M)rpc9943 wrote:5.
