technically, yeah it does. if we keep things to the JUCE spec and ANSI C++ then the mac JUCE users can just load our source files into a JUCE project and should hopefully be able to compile it no sweat.

it'll be a while before i attempt to make a plugin with it
i've got a lot of homework to do atm and i imagine that trying to get VST spec working will involve a lot more headscratching and setting up of libraries... some day in the near future tho i will definitely be giving it a crack, what with my obsession with reaktor and synthmaker et al.
for now it shall be useful apps, and they'll quite likely be useful apps for Tracktion2

Oh, please don't!ModuLR wrote:jucey freska! Just need a RAD (is that the right term?) thingie to create GUIs and I'd dump delphi.
The IDE of Delphi 2005 is sooooo cool! I'm really thinking of switching from Delphi6... Lots of little helpers and usability improvements (although the "new" look of .NET-development tools needs to get into habit)

Way OT:

I haven't looked at the Delphi2005 IDE, though I have been experiementing with JBuilder2005, and if the IDE in that is any bench mark, I should really lobby my boss for a Delphi upgrade. The problem is, it looks like Borland are dropping Linux support, and that's a big reason why we use Borland stuff.
I have to switch between Delphi6 and Kylix2 at work. After a few hours of working with the Delphi IDE, the Kylix version really gets on my nerves.Crossinger wrote: The IDE of Delphi 2005 is sooooo cool! I'm really thinking of switching from Delphi6... I got into JUCE.. but ultimately I crawled my way back to delphi purely for the fact that it's the easiest way to create the GUI. Problem with that, xplatform issues. I rencently downloaded Lazarus (based on Free-Pascal) and claims to be the most delphi compatible pascal compiler out there. Best part, it's xplatform. So I compiled something with Lazarus, and it created the dll.. but it won't load as a VST. I can't figure out where I'm going wrong...
it's seems like it'd be an interesting option!
Imagine, working with delphi AND making things xplatform... so it's either that, or I need and GUI builder for JUCE to make my life easier. I'd much rather work with juce cos Jules has all the hardcore stuff taken care of.

hey - any of you JUCE heads use MSN or IRC or other chat things at all? i think it would be really really great if i could instant-chat with someone about programming with JUCE as i'm getting the hang of it. plus, i think i'm pretty good with C++ and am always willing to help with a problem so i'm sure i can be useful too
PM me with yer contacts if you don't mind

yeah i've registered and made a few posts but it's so inactive. it'd be great if all the juce people used MSN messenger so we could help each other more efficiently
