Maybe my wishes will be in vain, or maybe there are others that would like the same.

1. A scrollbar with increase/decrease!

I dont know about you guys but the current scroll scheme is too disorienting.
You get a sense of "where am I" evertime one zooms in & out. The prebar length keeps changing and it gives a sense of a slipperry slide feel!
It would be much nicer if it did not move at all.
A scrollbar with the increasing & decreasing adjuster would give Tracktion a more solid feel IMO.

2. (Optional) Full screen edit mode for piano roll edit! PLEASE.

3. The ability to get into record mode from play, and play mode from record without stoping the song, just like Ableton Live, Reason, Logic etc. :band:

Also, why does it take sooo long to scan plug-ins? Its almost like booting Windows 2000.

I used to wish for the same, but after I changed the scrollwheel on the mouse from zooming to scrolling, and shift+scrolling to zooming, I find myself navigating through my compositions much more quickly (and therefore working more quickly) than I can with scrollbars.

You can turn the plug-in scan off, and then just re-scan each time you add a plug. Then your startup time is decreased.

yes, use SCROLLING for the wheel behaviour, and make use of the wonderful zoom feature: right-click the background and drag towards/away from THE CURSOR to zoom :D
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Tracktion should be packaged with a wheely mouse just to make the point. No wheely mouse, and you are seriously missing out on navigating in tracktion. Which reminds me, do they have some kinda wheely wacom tablet? that might rawk! I've got a tiny wacom, and it's pretty nice to input notes on the piano roll. :ud:

I've said it before.... check out contour designs rollermouse

http://www.contourdesign.com/rollermouse_info.htm

lets you keep both hands on the keyboard AND zoom and scroll and not get carpal tunnel. the bomb.

oh and I would like to see zooming centered on the cursor.

Weird how people request features that are already implemented. ;)

Except the buying thing. That's still in alpha.

That sounds interesting! I have a wheel mouse on my Wacom. Gotta hook that up and try it with the piano roll!
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Forgiven Mr. Sleep. Hope you find the peace you seek.

Sometimes I wonder if software, even DAW software has become imprinted on our habitual minds, such that each program needs to emulate another. MS Word sort of lets you pretend you're typing Word Perfect keystrokes.

In an ideal world a modular host would let you pick the workflow, or in T's case the playflow, of objects and object behaviour of the program / habit you have imprinted on. While change is good, sometimes in the 2-D virtual world a rest is just as good.

Sadly, every developer is required to re-invent the 'U.I.' wheel in a proprietary way. In the case of Tracktion, I'm very happy with Jule's remix of the typical DAW theme. That's why I call it playflow. It's just fun to use. For me and a few others it seems. Samplitude and Audition, oh dear, now that's workflow. :hihi:

Good luck, Mr. Sleep, on your Logical adventure and thanks for joining us Tracktioneers during our hours of hope and need! But don't be a stranger, come back and whine to us about Apple's Logic support and quaint 20th century interface so we can keep our smug attitudes in shape! :P

Tracktion's scrolling is second to none, which is what confuses me. ;)

Have fun elsewhere.
