I am enjoying the new step record.
I would like to be able to use a midi controller (mod wheel or foot controller) to adjust note length while using step record. Maybe a 3 step range (for simplicity) so if it is set to 8th notes with the mod wheel in the middle, down would be 16ths and up would be quarter notes.
or could use a knob that does the whole range of note lengths, however, I like not having to look at the computer and just use step record from the keyboard.
I would also like to have ability to define a key on the synth as null so it stepped forward without recording a note

What, a bit like the "insert a rest when in midi step-entry mode" key-binding..?pdxindy wrote:I would also like to have ability to define a key on the synth as null so it stepped forward without recording a note
<edit> I should read the post properly before taking the piss really shouldn't I?

But yes, I want something I can control on my synth, because I much prefer to just be on keyboard (not keyboard and computer) where possible, especially when playing/making music.
The idea of controlling note length dynamically would be useful when adding notes via mouse as well.

As an aside, can I introduce to you the wonders of IR portable keypads. They're small, light, portable, easy to velcro to synths, and thanks to T2s flexible keymappings, you have ten or more function keys at your fingertips, wherever you are.pdxindy wrote: But yes, I want something I can control on my synth, because I much prefer to just be on keyboard (not keyboard and computer) where possible, especially when playing/making music.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!
