You can use blockfish which can be great on vocals:

Read the mix and master advice on this site.

As well as SIR :

Grab some impulse responses from expensive reverb here :
http://www.noisevault.com/

Find an EQ and cut everything below ~120Hz.

Should enhance your vocal sound.

I love blockfish on vocals, especially in complex mode. I use it all the time.

Don't hesitate to use SpitFish too to get rid of the SSSSSSS.
One of the best de-esser available.

thanx Ixox

dose anyone know of a esser well a reversed de-esser i was told in the big studios they get the de-sseer card re programed so it adds hiss to the high bits on a vox take if no one has or knows of one i think it would be a good project no?

program dependant eq is very cool - demo the sonalksis cq/dq @ www.sonalksis.com. They are foolishly expensive but great and they give a 30 day fully dunctional demo! So mix fast...

You can do that with IQ4: select the first de-esser preset, and switch band 4 to upward expansion instead of downward compression. (I think this is the basis of some enhancer / exciter type effects)

Um, if you get a good sounding dynamic EQ together in less than six months, I might have to kill you. :x

:hihi:

I was thinking of making an enhancer type thing for my plug-in pack.. what controls did you have in mind?

Its a very tricky thing !

like the exact reverse of a de-esser, well maybe not, i don’t know

i use a few tricks to layer hiss over hi parts of a track, well mostly vox

so probably something with a hiss generator that opened & closed dynamically controllably

sound good to any one else?

Thanks for the replys guys. Mostly it just proves that I will have to sing better. I have D/Led the suggested plugs, but havent gotten any impulses yet. I am going to give that a try too.

What kind of mic are you using?
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Just a 57 and a 58. I am going to borrow something nicer from my friend soon. Though I think I might be better off using something crappier. Maybe I should use the biult-in mic on my laptop.
