Been trying like heck to get my fav plugin Camel Audio's Cameleon to work.

I tried these instructions:
Instructions:( for use with ultra focus)
--------------
1.) Copy UltraFocus.dll, the two .dat files, and the UltraFocus presets folder into the 'Unsupported Plugins' folder on receptor.

2.) create a 'Ultra Focus-custom-info.xml' file. Give it the following contents:

<vst-plugin-info version="1.1">
<vst-plugin-name>Ultimate Sound Bank Ultra Focus</vst-plugin-name>
<vst-plugin-flags>
<effEditOpen-returns-zero>1</effEditOpen-returns-zero>
</vst-plugin-flags>
</vst-plugin-info>
------ This line is not part of the file ----

3.) Load the unsupported plug from the 'Setup' Tab.

4.) This will bring up the USB Authorization page. Authorize as you would on a PC.

5.) Voila! Enjoy Ultra Focus on your receptor!\

However at step 3, it fails..and very quickly.

Have you guys( the musers) tried to get Cameleon to work? What has been your experience?

Hi Tim!

I got Cameleon to work.
however, my dongle mustn't be plugged in ?!?! strange...
but Cameleon can be run here...

WHAT???

How

exact steps PLEASE!!!

I have tried simply copying my camelon folder over to the unsupported plugin folder..also tried that other trick I mentioned..what else?

1. I copied my folder to unsopported plugins on RECEPTOR.
2. installation via SETUP
3. RESTART with pressing down the MULTI-Button (Cache)

that was my way...

I'll send you a jpeg to prove that CAMELEON is really working on my system...

But when I do step 2..it FAILS. Do you get a fail notice?

why does it work on yours and not on mine? shouldn't they all be the same??

Try as following:

step 1, step 2. when it says: installation failed go to the folder, delete this "failed" file and restart with pressing the MULIT button. maybe that will help ?!

Tried that 2x. No go..still fails

It has to do with copy protection. Is it working on your PC? Is there a file with the serial number or authorization in the Cameleon folder?

Hi Dan

yes, there is a file with my info on it. I have it copied over. I also tried deleting it to see what happens. Still failure.

This is rather frustrating as now I know it CAN work on receptor, but I am unable to do it. It was no 1 on my list for receptorizing.

any suggs would be great!
