In my opinion, there are very few similarities between the two. Podium's track handling is totally different, and all kind of devices (be it external midi/fx, vst plugins or whatnot) are handled exactly the same way and so forth. Also the interface is much cleaner than any other host I know of. (not in the screenshots, because they try to show how much you can do, not how you want to work :))

i am a little appauled to see zero support for tracktion :-o I have been using TRacktion for music engineering bout two months now, and though of it to be quite capable... I think ill give podium a spin..

Oh, no doubt tracktion too is a great host. I never liked it though.

no worries.. we're all in the RMS forum grooming each other like good monkeys... :hihi:

They are both excellent programs, and both forward thinking. It's more about finding out what appeals to that left side of the brain (or is it the right). :D

I was just trying to avoid another host vs. host thread. I certainly support Tracktion. ;) Podium looks promising, but I haven't given it a proper try in order to compare the two.

Oh, nothing in particular. Im not saying that it's bad looking or anything. I just got a little put of by the contempreory look on the interface. But thats just me.
I really enjoy tha Tracktion look. takes the OS look out of the work flow. Very slick.

Im sure Podium is very capable. I have just switched to Tracktion and am still learning it. If the need were to ever arise, ill look into podium with seriousness.

That's more what it looks like, imo.

Thanks for the screenshot jens! I blatantly stole it!
