sorry folks...
Is there some reason that the Mackie folks are not willing to tell us at least where they are in the process of determining how and when the upgrade will be handled?
Lack of communication feels bad: its what people don't like about *big* companies.
I went over to the Mackie official forum thinking that a moderator might have shared some info but no.
Not to be maudlin but... a DAW is not just a product - its a relationship. It is such an important part of my life that uncertainty is unpleasant. Mackie - I want to trust you because I love Tracktion so... speak!

Beno's still on vacation. Not that he would share the intimate knowledge of T2's dev schedule, but as for any silence, I think that's the reason.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

I don't think that even Beno has control over what he can say. And whatever reason it is, I'm sure it's a good one. Who knows, maybe there are contracts still being signed. Or maybe they are finishing native plugs. Or maybe they are listening to our requests and improving things first.
Whatever the case, I HIGHLY doubt that Mackie would just ignore us and not care. I'm pretty sure they would have good reasons to do this.
One way or another, if there's nothing they can say, then we're not going to change that. This isn't directed at you semiquaver, but many people keep asking thinking that it will change the results. Well, the truth is that it won't. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'm sure we won't be let down though when all is said and done. Cheers!

despite there being no recent official announcements (much of which - here at least - IS down to benos absence on his holidays) please be assured that AFAIK things ARE progressing in terms of the launch ...
... while i agree that mackies handling of things isnt quite what we might have come to expect in the context of tracktions history we all need to remember that were playing a VERY different game now ... its just we havent been told all the rules yet ...

CDs don't take *that* long to manufacture, so maybe Jules is busy adding features and fixing bugs. And as the Reverend Jesse Jackson once said, "Keep hope alive! Keep hope alive! Keep hope alive!"

no, the cd's don't take that long to manufacture, but to save on costs - what with the plugin bundles an' all- they shipped beno off to fold all the boxes and put the cds in the cases and pop them in. he's got to do it for the global supply, so it's taking him a while

yeah, he's been practising jules' signature too for the limited-edition run of autographed copies (jules needs his hands free to type his code)

Depends what you call "long."titanium wrote:CDs don't take *that* long to manufacture
Packaging, testing, proofing, manufacturing, and shipping - all that adds up to a not inconsiderable amount of time.
