Why do I have to clean the Tracktion temp folder manually? Is it a bug or is there a reason for it?

Not that I know of, I run as an administrator and other app do clean up their temp folder after use. If I don't see to it, Tracktion temp folder can grow to a few hundred meg; T1 and now T2 demo exhibit the same behavior (and I can't get T1 and T2 to use different temp folder).

just checked mine (since its set to a non-standard folder i know EVERYTHING in there is tracktion made) ...

... and mine too is full of non-deleted files BUT they are ALL 'cache' files from projects opened from unpacking archives ... perhaps tracktion deals with them differently to temp files created during normal usage ???

You might have put your finger on something there, Rob. I recently moved all my stuff to a new hard drive and archived all my T stuff... I'll check with a new project if T still leaves junk behind. Thank's for checking.

Yep, all the compressed archived project leaves a ton of junk in the temp folder, while normal project don't (except for those thumb file; what are thumb file?).
A bug?

AFAIR ... the thumb files are graphics for audio waveforms so that T doesnt have to recalculate them each time the display is refreshed ???

Make sense, Vegas does the same but leaves them in the original file folder not in the temp folder. Those are small file anyway, the problem is all those wav that stay behind; I just bought 2 SATA drive configured in raid 0 for video work and I'm trying to keep them clean, fast and unfragmented. I guess I'll just move the T temp folder to a slower backup drive for the time behing.

BTW, what does "slainte" means?
