Edit : Just checked. And the free package he had does not seem to be listed there anymore. It was called clear shot and thats what i use. It's superb! 100mb space. Maybe you can try and get in touch with the owner.

Also try www.freeservers.com .

I think it looks great! I never used slice in Gimp (yet) so can't help you with that, sorry. What is VMU? Do you mean NVU?

I still think you should try Actual Drawing...did you at least download it?

Thanks dude! :D

yes i meant NVU (generally bad at remembering names!) I downloaded Actual drawing and have it installed...

since i had already used NVU to import the JPEG, center align it, and export it as an HTML, I tried opening the HTML file within Actual Draw. What i got however, was justan icon of the JPEG there, not the actual image. So i let go. Should I try and compile the image to an HTML file within Actual Drawing ? Will actual drawing allow me to splice the image and assign the splices links ?

thanks a tin,,,

It would be best to start over in Actual Drawing. As much as I like this program, it doesn't import existing HTML very well. I don't think it slices but here's how to slice in Gimp:

Load image, View/Show Rulers, View/Show Guides, drag guides(lines) from rulers into image to define areas to be sliced, then Image/Transform/Guillotine.
This will create seperate images of each slice. You can then import these into Actual Drawing (or NVU) and line them all up...that's the fun part :-o
Yes, Actual Drawing will allow you to assing each image a URL/link etc.

Don't attempt any of this until you've had a few more beers though :hihi:

guess ill have to wait till morning them.

i find the though of alligning all images within a compiler daunting. Do compi;ers have snap to grid ?

hey! real cool! i found a script online that slices the jpeg and creates a correewsponding HTML. Makes the job a snap now.

WEbsite looks nice, much better than I could do!
Tilted text on main graffic is a little too extreme for my tastes - and it is hard to read where it overlaps the background logo. But nice :)
..what goes around comes around..
