Senderella better than new aux sends!

In the new Tracktion 2 demo, I've found that the new aux sends can't be used within a rack filter. That really sucks since that is one of the main places I want to use them. How else can you do things like put extra reverb on a snare? Fortunately, senderella still works within a rack filter, so that's what I'll continue to use.

just so you know, you can always have multiple outputs in a rackfilter, and have separate tracks to host each output pair. you could have the 'snare' output on one track, and then use T2's native aux sends after the rack filter.
this isn't "you should bloody well do it this way there aren't any flaws in tracktion!" - this is just information on alternatives
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

I do think its a shame there's a limit on buses; one of the reasons I went with Sonar XL way back when it came out was because unlike just about everything else it didnt have limits on the number of plugins or inserts or tracks or whatever you could use. Shame to see hardcoded limits on these things in a really nice piece of software.

8 aux buses. Or so it says in mackie's publicity info...
"Tracktion 2 provides 8 Auxiliary sends and returns for tasks like sharing a reverb on the different instrument tracks in a drum kit"

You could always make more with racks. Its 8 easy aux send busses, but as many as you need really.. (do you really use more than 8 send FX anyway?)

Hmmmm, okay. So it just sounds like a limitation then
And yes, I have been known to...

till now senderella IS better, as long as the receiving senderellas are placed on tracks AFTER the sending ones they are working without ANY delay. i don't see a reason to use racks or new aux sends till now. i think jules hates the idea to have specialiced auxtracks and so he have to take care that whereever the returns are placed (track 1 or 20...) they have to be in sync, so they introducing latency to the whole edit. (tracktion internally processing the tracks from the first to the last)
i need a lunch break

personally, I would put 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 as track / group inserts, leaving just three actual aux sends.. and I'm not too convinced that "skin flute" and "triangle" are useful things to send an audio signal to anyway!stash98 wrote:man..i have to think if i have ever used more then 8 busses..

i used inserts because I had a crappy old CPU (until a few weeks ago).. because then I could have as many frozen / rendered SIRs as I needed.pHz wrote:hell ... get a big-ass CPU and just use inserts ...
Its only now I've doubled my clock speed that i can start running SIR(s) at the same time as the rest of my track!
