this is not directed at anyone in particular... just another rant.
one would think that if the disappointments where so much of an issue, ppl would migrate over to the official mackie forum to mobilize an attempt at change instead of a users forum, where ultimately we have no control. There is a lot less noise on the Mackie/Tracktion forum.. which ultimately leads me to believe that misery simply loves company.
I've come to realize that people must just love airmchair quarterbacking. If you really want to make a statement for change, get off your ass and mobilize your efforts with other like minds to express your concerns in an organized and concise manner. Sure, you might not get the reply you want, but at least you did it. It's not too difficult... but of course that takes initiative... granted it's a lot easier to just sit back and make the same routine comments day to day here... where no one really has any direct control over much of anything. This is really a USERS forum. That means, we help each other use Tracktion to the best of our ability. We find work arounds. We assist in getting past the "issues".
Think of it like a group buy.. a lot of times they don't happen til someone steps foward. Don't expect the people who are content with the way things are to do it for you.

... these threads get so tiring.. and it really has nothing to do with being a fanboy or mackie hater. I hate the banter on both sides equally.. even this very message I'm writting... cos I'm participating in this nonsense once again.

Of course I have an opinion, but it wouldn't have any real impact of T2's arrival, price, features and so forth...I do enjoy reading others', tho.

Now i understand "ground hog day" i get it now! its taken me a few months to figer it out! i thought it was a joke about the T2 hoax threads (back when we had only one mod) & the i want T2 now threads! (i partisapated in a few of those aswell ) but its just this place, it is ground hog forum, newbies or old timers repeating the same txt again & again & again, some of them are funny, some help others & some just float at the top of the list doing flaff all, because its not fixable by any members or mods in here (i thought those ones went to the bottom

Well, much like there are only supposed to be 7 plots which all stories are just variations of, there are only 5 posts possible in the RMS forum:-

Ron's on the right track. I'm here alot lately, and probably could be doing more, but I'm just too tired from actually doing the daily grind, school, work, music, more school, spending time with the wife, working on 5 other projects, etc. And sometimes, usually once or twice a day, or on breaks at school, I stop in here to post and hang out.
Again, those who hang out here ARE NOT THE ENTIRE USERBASE!!!! Not even CLOSE! So stop saying that stupic poll shows the truth. It's the most inaccurate representation there could be, for numerous reasons.
And the fact that people keep blaming Mackie is absurd. They act like Mackie is intentionally screwing them. When in reality, Mackie hasn't done anything that's not normal. They ARE a great company, and despite what people are arguing here, their products ARE used in the industry. Want proof? Come here to Nashville sometime. I'll show you REAL studios and REAL engineers mixing REAL superstars and doing REAL live shows where Mackie products are used. Just because you've never seen one doesn't mean they aren't there. And anyone who says that they are not in a "pro" market, has no idea what they are talking about.
It tires me to have to repeat my opinion over and over again. But what gets me more is how some people here go around spreading nonsense and making unfounded claims.
In a perfect world, T2 would be out now, for the price we want, with the features we want, and more. But in a perfect world, all those who constantly complain would become realistic and realize that no good is being accomplished by complaining about the same things.
I share my opinion alot, but there's a point I have to say that I don't care. I hope that doesn't happen, but things here can make someone dreary. I can't imagine what a new user or a potential user thinks when he comes here.
I'm not going anywhere, and my opinion likely won't change, unless somebody can actually come up with some evidence behind their statements. Opinions are opinions, and I respect those, but some speak this crap as truth, and it makes me sick. But who knows, maybe I will stop caring and just come here a little less. I like this place, but my personality sometimes forces me to respond. Sometimes I don't even know why. Maybe I need to get out of here. Who knows....
