Hello, im a long time tracktion user. From time to time, and now reasently this happenend:

In a project, the tracks an the mixer disapeard. Leaving only a grey field, and the loop markers.

Ive tried exporting and imorting the project, make copys, etc. All turn out the same. And the only way to render the tracks is to render it to the first directory that pops up. If I select another directory to render too, T crashes..

Some advices?

Best,
Kim

ok, open your .trkedit file in notepad and change the tracktop setting from NAN to 0.

ISTR reading somewher that Jules was going to add a redundancy check when opening edits to get rid of that bug. I should test that.

Thanks.. but im on mac :? But there is maybe familiar ways to fix it?

Luckyle I did not work much with this project, but it would be nice to know how to rescue it next time!!

OT:
Also, I want be able to hoock up here every day. I live at the moment 5 kilometers walk (each way) inside the forest, and up in the mountains of india, close to himalaya. 6km from the closest internet cafe, with 29,3 bps conection(!) And I do the walk once or twice a week. Every second time, the net is down!!! (So T2 demo being 19meg is a BIG problem for me..) And yes, I brought a studio all that way from europe.. :D

Sleepwalker How awesome is that! You are the Internets poster child if there ever was one.

Most of the T2 demo is the not so useful demo songs. The app is not so big and I don't think it requires any extra files to run (someone correct me if I'm wrong!). Perhaps someone here could email you the app alone or put it up somewhere...

Any text editor will do. Use whatever comes standard with teh Mac, instead of notepad.

Thanks Valley, it worked!! 8)

I used Text Edit, if other mac users have the same problem: open tracktion, see where the .trkedit file is, by browsing it from the project window. Exit Tracktion, open Text edit. Open the .trkedit file with Text edit, and change the letters NAN to 0 (zero)
Save the file from Text edit, and open Tracktion again. Voila! It should be working now.
