DAMNIT

I cant select the track if the stupid midi overlay is over it, I can't touch the ruler bar on the top if the midi overlay is over it.

What the hell?

dose any body know WTF RonC is talking about :?

okay when youre in midi edit and you want to move the ruler on the top, the freaking midi edit overlay buttons BLOCK IT.

If you want to select the track that the midi is on with the stupid keyboard overlay it WONT LET YOU.

yeah - takes a bit of getting used to.

You do sort of have to click in between the kybd. and midi clip... Or click over to the input area to get the track... I think it's a matter of location...

Its pretty damn annoying. At least you could work around it in T1

Ron might have a point I'm sorry to say, it would be better to keep the midi tool in the track view I think, instead of overlaying the ruler bar and input/track select area.

Well we dont even need that overlay though. At least give us the option to turn it the hell off. PLZ! I mean even the side keyboard.

It's not that big a deal though, just go to the ruler bar beside the midi toolbar then go to wherever you want to go on it as the midi toolbar won't reappear until you hover over the midi clip. Same with selecting the track, just hover over another track 'till you hit the track select area then move up again. Just a minor annoyance, really.

and not even that if you get into the habit of never trying to edit a clip thats right on the left-hand edge of the track area ... that way the tracks are always clickable ... and if you do have to edit a clip near the top of the screen and the ruler gets hidden then as ezy says just move the cursor beyond the toolbar and it will disappear allowing you to use the ruler ...
