Guess you cold call this thread slightly hijacked...
Anyway, I was so delighted with that release-sample function I just had to share...
When I tried to balance the volume of some piano release samples in 1.5.3, I realised just how half-assed the concept was without the ability to match the volume to the actual "current" volume of the corresponding note-on sample. I thought, "wouldn't it be great if..." and lo and behold, the NI guys answered my prayers!
On a similar note, when I read about the Kontakt scripting language, I immediately thought "oh, this might just be the thing for writing that guitar chord-strumming program I've always dreamed about". Well, turns out I didn't even have to write it, the two script-driven guitars in the Kontakt 2 library are so feature-packed it's amazing. Once more, they dumped exactly what I was looking for right into my lap!

No, and I doubt I will, running an AMD processor!drinelli wrote:Has any of you exsperienced, denormal problems using the inbuilt Convolution reverb....
Since I use a lot of other synths in my work, I tend to stick with external effects plugs even for the 4 or 5 Kontakt tracks that may be in the mix. Great if the K2 filters and effects are flexible and good, but that's mostly icing on the cake for me.
Still, it's a bonus to have a good built-in reverb handy if I just want to play some piano using K2 stand-alone -- saves a bit of time not having to fire up Tracktion each time.

HI
Just installed this evening - still feeding the hard-drive with the massive library, I do like the fact that you can configure the GUI to go FULL SCREEN - along with the updated Browser this makes life a lot easier.
