There was a lengthy discussion regarding per-track metering in Audition because it has a floating point mixer. I'll have to take a closer look at the Tracktion implementation. If the Tracktion mixer behaves in the same way as the Audition one then a cool little trick is to take your favourite mix, ramp the volume up so that it's definitely clipping (red lining constantly), mix down to a floating point file and normalize the result to 0dbfs. The resulting file (assuming that the signal path is floating point throughout) will have no distortion whatsoever.
I feel so cold.

I tried this way, and came to the conclusion that I really like those led like graphics jumping up and down, so I'm keeping them; make me feel like I'm piloting an F18 or something.
