Hey,

nah, unfortunately I havn't taken any pictures, however, Airy and Stiwi did a lot:

Well, I wasn't as lazy as it seems this week... I've started extending the Arpeggiator for Zebra, adding step control values as modulation source, which can result in stuff like this:

Note, the fast main line is only pressed chords (holding for full notes) and one instance of a Podolski modified for testing purpose... the rest is done by the arpeggiator with programmable step control... 8)

;) Urs

Thanks Uhrs. So, which one is you?

Oki, time for a life sign

The Windows beta group gave me a hard time over the last 3 weeks, but I think that the engine is now rock solid on Windows 8) - allthough, despite several fixes and changes, it still doesn't seem to work on Win98/ME. Well...

I'm now preparing the final release of Filterscape for Windows, including a list of bugfixes and enhancements that will be too long for Ben to post on the news page :hihi:

Zebra 2 is gonna get some new kick ass features. I found ways to implement Oscillator FM for the 4 main oscillators, Filter FM for a couple of new filter types and a bunch of other goodies. It will also have some sort of eco oscillators, much like Filterscape's SubOscillator which will also provide cheap means of audio rate modulation

Ah... I'm looking so forward to this!!!

Cheers,

;) Urs

Here's the Friday update :)

First off, Filterscape 1.1 is finished! Wooooooooot!!!!!

I'll today clean everything up and set up a special website for downloads & migration issues. As this is the final version of the engine for Windows, there are some things to take into account (i.e. you have to backup your presets and you'll have to re-enter the registration codes). In approximately 24 hours I will send out that stuff to existing customers, roughly 1-2 days in advance to public release.

Good news: Thanks to the great effort by the beta team, the number of presets for FilterscapeVA will somewhat like five- to tenfold  - Or let's just say, I can't count them anymore... somewhat between 750 and 1000...

So, here's the summary:

[x] New engine written and tested
[x] VST layer added
[x] Win compatibility layer added
[x] Zebra1 algorithms prepared for new engine
[x] Zebra2 concepts thought out
[now] start implementing Zebra2

Heaviest tasks:

- gui redesign

- add Grid functionality to new engine (mostly there, but I wanna take advantage of new routing possibilities)

- implementing new features

- work out closest possible compatibility to Zebra 1.5 patches

Dudes & Dudettes, I've never been as motivated as I am now! The next weeks will be a wonderful time in a developer's life 8)

Stay tuned,

;) Urs

given the wonders of Filterscape and Filterscape VA, I've given up trying to imagine what Zebra will be.

all I know is the sooner and the better that gets done, the sooner and the better More Feedback Machine 2 will arrive. Let's not lose sight of the real goal in all this :hihi:

Yay Urs! :hail:

Thanks for your diligence and excellent work. You have set a model for what how beta process should be conducted. As far I was oncerned Filterscape was a finished product many weeks ago that I could not find no fault with this plugin but you continued to persist to perfect due to your high aesthetic standard.

Best,
Gordon
