Pro Tools eats a bag of dicks. The most over-rated software/hardware currently available, imo.
Can ameturish music be made using it? Yes. that's why they introduced the Mbox. Not that there aren't many people out there making professional music with an mbox, but focusrite preamps can only help you up to a point, then it's a matter of taste and skills. Then there are the folks that the above posts are referencing... they use high end PT systems and make horrible music.
