can you find the tracktion log.txt file (assuming jules didnt change the filename between T1 and T2) ... it should be in whatever temp directory tracktion is using ???

... if you cant see where the launch is stalling yourself ... if its not too long maybe you could post it (or at least copy the section for your last attempted launch) here for us to take a swift look at ???

Thanks for all the help. I never got it to work after trying all of your suggestions. I guess it is time to uninstall and continue to just use Acid. I wanted to use T1 to rewire FL5 into it because I can't rewire FL5 into Acid Pro4 because it crashes. Thanks. all

more than one instance of it running in task manager? have you installed any new plugs into the "tracktion" plugs folder recently? not the main vst directory mentioned earlier. and maybe, is there an external drive that you may be forgetting to hook up to the system that has your temp folder in it?

i had a similar problem using an external drive and having my temp folder on it. in the absence of the external hard drive, tracktion would never start up completely.

or check to see that you've maybe moved or removed the temp folder by mistake, or renamed it.

that's the only thing i am able to come up with at this point.

don't run'd off just yet. people are just waking up and drinking their coffee all over the world, you may find a solution today or tomorrow. and it'd be a waste of time to just give up on it. hang on and see what some more people say. im sure somebody is out there thinking about this one and getting ready to post something that will solve the whole thing for you.

this is a very helpful forum.

Unfortunately, Uninstalling and Re-Installing 6 x is not something you really want to do in Win98!!

I would try hacking the registry...everytime you uninstall and re-install you are just adding to the registry.

Use regedit to remove every reference to Traction. Then go for a re-install.

Disable everything else to as suggested "msconfig"

Good Luck!!
