Couple questions about Tracktion

The ability to bypass all FX on a track is very handy. I can "bypass all filters on selected track". Cool right? Not really because it bypasses the volume and pan filter. Is there any way to bypass my fx so I can hear the true difference.

Also, with rack filters, is there any way to save a preset, drag that preset to tracks and have it not be linked. For example I want to save a rack called "channelstrip" with some dynamics and eq plugins. I would like to be able to use this as an insert in tracks, but when I try, the racks assigned to the tracks are linked and any changes affects the plugins on all the tracks.

1. <CNTRL> click all the filters to select them together, and bypass with the "f" key.

2. With the rack itself selected (not any of its filters) click the "manage rack presets" button, and add your channel strip. You can now press the "New Rack" button, and choose your preset from the list..

The "bypass all filters" does not bypass the vol/pan filter. At least not in T1.

...but won't multiple instances of the rack still sum?

if you put up your channel strip plugs on one track at least they can be copied and pasted to other tracks easily enough...

Not if they're actually different racks..

quicker to copy and paste though (+ delay compensation will work)

depends how many plugs you're talking about. (+ racks do have PDC)
