Sorry - I did sound like a bit of a humourless twonk at one point there didn't I? always seems to happen if i'm browsing znet, reading some chomsky or something & posting places like this at the same time. Anyway give me mutable clips & give me them now, or th cute likkle puppy gets it in the neck.

I agree its called a workaround.. we must have mute automation for filters and tracks I can't believe it wasn't in T1..and T2

personally i just have a muted 'storage' track that i drag temporarily unwanted clips onto but i agree clip muting might be quite convenient (although as a very visual worker i like the fact that what i see equals what i hear with my method whereas even with a big cross or colour change for muted clips theyre still in there cluttering your arrangement visually) ...
