what do you think about the quality of tracktion's built in equalizers? can you hear quality differences when comparing against pay-ware eqalizer? can you hear aliasing?

I've been using nyquist 5 eq and everyones like, Ron just use T1's native, and I have been using it since. The two outside ones are used for rolling off the high end and low end, then the other two in the middle are for everything else. So yeah, I personally have been using T1's eq and its been perfect. Unsure of any pay ones, if any I would consider Kajerhouse's GEQ or whatever that is, since everyone talks up about it all the time, althought I'm quite unsure of the CPU usage etc. I say for now I'd try keeping with T's EQ, its very low CPU and very nice sounding, at least to me

it's a just a little-little-bit "metallic" in the high and adjusting the low mid range is not good to handle because of it's linear frequency handeling (80% of the screen is for the higher frequencies).
but i use it also for many things.

I was so sure it would suk I dint even try it! Thats till I reached a point where I was like, dude... if ure gonna spend cash on a good EQ, at least give the T native a serious look before. I have dropped my plans for a purchase!
I dont like the interface much though.. makes tweaking below the low mids a bit of a pain. Too cramped up. And I would like to have feilds where i can numerically feed values.

note : Barring the Hydratone.. buts thats a different beast!

I got the cm edition of spineq that's ok - just need to bang the serial from the magazine in. Four bands, but you can eq the left & right channels seperately, nice for a freebie. Can't remember what issue it was in though.

Favourite one i've tried though is that kjaerhus one though, that is a very nice eq (though i'm no expert at all).

Tracktion native four bands EQ? Free, easy to use, low CPU hit and sound good; what else do we need?

personal opinions to disregard:
firium is a very interesting plug - great interface and like other phase linear eqs almost wierdly transparent - seems mostly useful as a kind of mastering restoration thing - can't figure out a use for it otherwise. A really nice eq is Sonalksis (expensive though) - the dynamic ones are especially interesting. RenEQ is nice. I find Equium and Ts native eq similar and not terribly interesting/useful. PSP masterQ is really interesting but cpu-intensive. and then there's hydratone..

I personally never found the need to look elsewhere for EQ in T, so I guess that means something.
