I've never heard anything other than I read some post somewhere stating that this doesn't work in Receptor, but it didn't seem too definitive.
I'd really like this to work. Anyone know anything concrete? Any possibility of it working?
Getting closer to being able to purchase a Receptor, but still a little ambivalent...

Hasn't anyone tried this synth to see if it will work? Can anyone try it?

Hi droolmaster0,
I've never heard a peep from Muse, but I can imagine various reasons why VazMod would not run on the Receptor. That doesn't mean that a custom build for the Receptor would be difficult to make though... I've not found any kind of document which runs through what API sets are available or not on the Receptor which I would need to make a better prediction (it's quite possible Delphi VCL apps plain don't work come to think of it).

So this is Martin, as in Martin who developed Vaz Modular (rhetorical question, I guess)? I think that you have made one amazing product - I sold my G2, since I think that your synth sounds so much better, and comes pretty close to the capabilities of the G2 (does more in some ways). Can't wait for the next version....MadGav wrote:Hi droolmaster0,

wouldn't the demo version give us an idea as to whether it would work - in other words, whether it would just be a copy protection issue?Robert Karasek wrote:send me the .dll-file and I'll have a trydroolmaster0 wrote:Hasn't anyone tried this synth to see if it will work? Can anyone try it?

I tried the demo and the problem is that the registry needs to be set up so that it finds where the other files are. We can fix this by making a small installer like the ones for the Spectrasonics stuff.
I saw the GUI, but I was not able to make any sounds. I don't have the time right now to learn how to build something and the demo version does not allow loading a pre-made patch.
Another problem is that patch saving is disable in the demo. Receptor has an auto-save feature so if it crashes or you restart you are back where you were within a few seconds. Maybe it is a bug with Receptor, but when it tried to auto-save and VAZ demo did not give back a proper patch, it crashed. This should not be a problem with the non-demo version.
What is the copy protection method?

Great - it sounds like there is a desire to work together on this. I hope it can happen. I still have enough synths that won't work on Receptor that I am vacillating, but this one would be MAJOR.DanTimis wrote:I tried the demo and the problem is that the registry needs to be set up so that it finds where the other files are. I'm hoping that this isn't forgotten? Anyone?

Dan has tried VazMod on the Receptor and found problems with the UI (it uses moving windows), but it appears that so long as the editor isn't opened things are OK i.e. using VazMod as a patch player loading vzp files through the receptor UI or changing patches by MIDI would work.droolmaster0 wrote:I'm hoping that this isn't forgotten? I'm thinking about buying Receptor but until VM works properly it'll be a no go for me...MadGav wrote:Dan has tried VazMod on the Receptor and found problems with the UI (it uses moving windows), but it appears that so long as the editor isn't opened things are OK i.e. using VazMod as a patch player loading vzp files through the receptor UI or changing patches by MIDI would work.droolmaster0 wrote:I'm hoping that this isn't forgotten?
