Hi,

I had hoped that T2 will solve, or at least reduce, the latencies when we use the Rack Filters.
But it seems to be the same as before :(
Is there something to do to shorten them ? (not the audio driver latencies)

Thanks,

'fraid not - it's still a bit of a limitation of racks.

i dont notice any latency..i use jamstix and BFD a lot....is it becaise i have a really fast computer?

Post

it seems like a bug to me... are the latencies not compensated for? :?

if i wrap a instrument in a rack i dont get any delay atall??????

is this only a problem if you have more than 1 vst in a rack that needs pdc?

Post

i think it has something to do with using a rack across multiple tracks. i don't use racks a lot but if there's the same problem with sends then thats going to be a bother.

sigh, yes. Big oversight, I must say, all these latency and PDC issues with racks and send/returns.

but my wrapped vsti's use 10 outs

all timing seems to be fine to me :?

is my hearing realy that bad that i just cant here it? at the end of a mix i run at 23ms for the extra cpu it frees up

try setting your soundcard latency on the highest maybe?

if i am correct racks introduce latency, but Tracktion's PDC does compensate for it. I believe there can be problems though if one is using plug ins which introduce latency e.g. SIR.

Same here, i use battery with multiple outs that go to different tracks and i've never experienced any latency... Is it a fixed latency?

Tracktion has always worked like this. The racks (only when using multiple instances of the same rack) wil introduce a latency equal to that of your soundcard latency. However, It will correct for this via pdc.. thus you shouldn't notice. In an old T1 version there was a bug, where you chould actually hear the latency becase the other instances were not being compensated for.. but that issue was fixed.

ok..makes sense..since i use around 15 tracks for BFD and get no latency..well my soundcard is set for 10ms, so maybe thats what i get.
