I just gave the FR thread a bump, so it is in the list. I also added the actual folder track descrption, since haydxn linked to the wrong thread...willowhaus wrote:Got a link to that FR? No idea what you're talking about, and search for "Folder Tracks" turns up about 10 pages of stuff!valley wrote:That basically is a folder track. Folder tracks are a seperate, but related, FR.willowhaus wrote:It would be handy to have "submix views"...

I'm pretty good with Photoshop, heck even 2 graphic designer friend of mine call me sometime because they want to know how to do this or that with it.
It took me YEARS to learn this program inside out, you know why?
Because for everything you want to do in it, there's over ten different way to go to achieve the same thing
I hate that.

It just means I went back to edit a few typos after somebody else posted after me. English is not my native language and I make a lot of silly mistakes, but worst is that damn cordless keyboard that started to act up on me this week...djsubject wrote:Ezy Ryder do you update your sig all the time or is it a fancy code you have??

By the ability to show just the channels you want - just your drum tracks for example. I think of ModuLR's TackyBrowser's color-coded memory locations, something like that you can click to save configs to one of several spots. Maybe you would add the tracks directly from the tracks themselves, something inconspicuous like the automation A.Lunch Money wrote:willow - that's exactly what Braj is suggesting; however, my question remains - how could that space be used effectively?.
Anyway, I'm open to anything that will help clear up track clutter. I just thought the contextual area gets used for all sorts of things and having sub-routing, folder tracks, or whatever you want to call it handled down there seems like a good idea without having to mess with the rest of Tracktion. Everything else would stay the same.

You know what, Braj? Not a bad idea. If you could switch between 'snapshots' of your assigned groups, like a "favourites" thing.
Not bad, after all.
I still wouldn't use it, but I can see why you'd want it.
[edit: of course, a simple snapshot of current track positions (so that you don't have to move them one at a time) would work just as well]
