But frankly talking my feature requests, way more utopic, are of these kind :
does it sound insane to you to seek for a kind of tempo synchronisation, applied to the reverb time parameters ?
- pre-delay of course but also ( and mainly ) the "gate reverb" or "reverse gate" lengh, ...and also eventually the decay of , so to say, usual reverbs
This is what i already supposed about a (very few) of the challenge that it would mean on a developping aspects :
1)-It would completely depend on purely subjective judgements about a feeling of synchronicity
2)-That in itself needs the choice of appropriate parameters,
3)- themselves limited to a significant area on that purpose
______________
Actually, the only thing i that can share with you as a concrete and plausible example to figure out both on how it would looks like and how it would handle tempo synchronisation, is this one :
For the ones who knows well the "enverb" ( enveloppe/reverb, then...) reverb plug-in from Logic
Imagine
1)- a tempo-sync applied to the "Original delay" ( upper left )
2)- the pre-delay parameter , itself tempo-synched if needed
3)- what would have been the attack parameter renamed and rebuited as a REVERBS SHAPE parameter,
4) "Reverb's shape" duration would automatically depend on the delay time between both, host's tempo-synced parameters : - pre-delay for it starts and "original delay" parameter for it ends
5)-No other enveloppe parameters,( not needed on the purpose... )
6) all other parameters of this plug that aren't related to envelope or delay would perfectly do their job as they actually are !! ¨

I tried to do something approaching with Bram' s freeware "bouncy" that has a sync fonction that looks more or less like a multitap delay/early reflection unit... but realise that it do not handle different host's tempi from the one choosen for the original patch such well ...
...and it simply cannot tolerate ANY tempo changes !

And this to introduce THE real, utopic, question to a developper :
How much would it sound insane to you ...
( i'm sure it will, ...but at what degree ?)
...to figure out on how to code such a synced-reverb that could at least handle correctly continuous tempo changes ?
Just figure out, nothing else by now ( and by far ...)
Thank you
Alex
