gui IS too slow & a annoing behavior

now i testet it on different pc's. no matter what gfx-card or systemspeed. the gui takes up a lot of the cpu power. for example : switching on big meter input for 8 tracks during record will raise the cpu usage around 40-60%. and also normal levelmeters become very slow on 20 tracks.

and another thing:
setting the positionline somewhere in the song during record, stops recording. hmm, logical but a big mess during liverecording on a laptop where easily some stupid light-engineer can put his fingers on the touchpad please make this behavior optional (not that of the light-engineer, though this would also work )

What are you doing on those 20 tracks? Audio, MIDI?
Just wondering, as I've never had any GUI issues in Tracktion. Most of my tracks are MIDI though.
