All,
I heard several years ago, prior to sony's takeover, that acid pro 3 was the pinacle of that product. Sounds like its been downhill since then.
Can anyone confirm that AP3 was/is still the best of that series?
Personally, I like Acid; and AP3 still shows on ebay once in a while.

Hey guys, I am the guy that Sony banned, and unfortunately to my dismay, I have to agree with a lot of you in what you are saying. This is definately a prime example of bad public relations on Sony's part. It just shows me how far out of touch a certain individual can be with their user base.

I'm interested but can't buy it. I don't hate everything Sony (though I'm pretty miffed at some of their products and policies). I also just plain haven't the money. :-) C'est la vaio.Lunch Money wrote:I was only half serious, but if anyone's truly interested

I think I posted about 12x aying that the SF takeover by Sony would mean the downfall of the apps.Cabinfever wrote:T
its pathetic to see the sony corporates pretend to release great new versions...
I think the only reason Sony bought them was to try and get M$oft into a lawsuit over that bit of code they suppossedly swiped from SoundForge which they put into their audio code (wonder whatever happened to that little rumor??).

My condolences to you for being another Sony victim. I read most of the other discussion at KvR, and unfortunately have to say - it's magnanimous of you to believe it's the action of only one individual within Sony's setup...however, they have a long, long history of this type of behaviour being the essence of the Sony ethos. That is how they have always worked. I'm sure that is how they will continue to work. They have a finely honed disrespect for their consumers (and I deliberately call it disrespect rather than disregard). It just shows me how far out of touch a certain individual can be with their user base.
There is only one way to f**k a disreputable company like Sony...and that is simply to never again buy their products. Don't get bitter, don't dwell on it, just move on and make sure you never buy a Sony product or any company bought out by Sony. Their wallets are the only things that hurt them.

spaceman: Not Sonny. Sani Abacha, late dictator, who wishes to let you in on a bank transfer to your account in amount of $35,000,000 (THIRTY-FIVE US MILLION DOLLARS) if you will merely pay for "modalities."
Rednroll, hi, and I hope things get sorted at Sony. (One thing in particular, from the looks of it.) I don't know you yet, but it sounds like you're the kind of solid, helpful person no forum can have enough of. The "Defense of Sony" section in your other thread impressed me greatly. Fair-mindedness counts for a lot in my book.
Welcome, howdy, and pull up a chair.

Well you can see him in the public eye in this recent article.who's this sonny fella then?
http://www.digitalproducer.com/articles ... p?id=31899
He use to sign his emails with the title "Direct,Engineering". You will see him posting in the Vegas forums. Most of the Sony guys have their username designated with "Sony" followed by their name initials or part of their name. He goes by his previous title so you will see SONY___ Engineering Product Manager. As outlined in the article he's now a VP. Well, from what I've seen, he's nothing more than a full time forum moderator as of late, busy deleting posts that put any kind of bad light on Vegas, replying to very few complaints, and I'm also highly suspecting a few new usernames created all of sudden out of the blue telling users to ignore negative posts about Vegas, and that he's an Avid user and Vegas is the greatest thing since sliced bread in comparison to Avid.
Still in search of sonic nirvana....
