It was a cracked piece of software that got me into this stuff in the first place. This isn't a justification or an excuse, it's just an example of where you were wrong. In my case several developers, both small and big, gained business from me installing a program a friend gave me. I repeat I'm not advocating the practice, I'm simply rounding off the edges of your black and white statement.
