dudes the real revolution will come when all you genius's wake up and realize that acoustic instruments are superior and that toys no matter how clever are no substitue for geniune musical culture

Ross Bencina's MetaSurface (in AudioMulch) has definately changed the way I "...look at music/sound lately..."(1)

The MetaSurface is already, imo, a groundbreaking, innovative, live tool, but "Future versions of the Metasurface will support MIDI control."(2)
This to me, is very, very exciting.

As a musician who has spent many years playing acoustic instruments in bands where everyone was playing acoustic instruments and singing the old fashioned way; and who has, furthermore, spent many boring hours studying the most boring music history books imaginable, I can say authoritatively that the musical culture here at KVR is as 'genuine' as any musical culture that has ever existed.

So there.
