I am rendering this session whihc has maxed out my processor. the result mix has the Kik drum track playing out of sync. In the session it plays back fine.

oy. Did you try rendering at 1 x?

what about freezing the kick track first?

Post

Will try both and let you know... But the problem seems random... I used tape it.

this has worked for me when a vst has made T render out of sink

but the mad thing was the frozen file played out of sink but in the rendred file was back in sink

Oh.. i dont have any filters inserted on the kik track... probably the only track not to have any... could that be a cause ?

It could be. Is the kick ahead of the beat? If so, then you might be experiencing latency on the other tracks with filters, which would make the kick sound ahead of the beat. I guess this shouldn't be an issue with render, but...
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

thats the strange part i was also thinking about... the kik is late, not early... could be a CPU issue also... i tried to rened the same mix in the other boot partition... rendered fine.

I prefer cohesiveness :P, but then... I'm not native English either.

Well, language is consensual anyhow. If enough people are using it incorrectly, it could eventually become an accepted part of the language.

Then we could start talking about the stableness, elegantness, and usableness of the program, rather than its stability, elegance, and usefulness.

:D

I like talkabling about stableness and usableness :).

Useability, surely Greg?

Post

If you prefer. ;) Usefulness is accepted English language. You could also refer to its utility, though the word "utility" has a different flavour these days than it used to.

'sides, I can't be TOO pedantic, or I would have also noted "loses" while I was at it. ;)
