I suspect there's a conflict between McAfee VirusScan enterprise (v8i) and Tracktion - since I loadad the new T2 (demo) and updated to McAfee 8i, my PC crashes and reboot instead of turn-off.. Tried to remove both programs and it works OK again (it goes down without crashing..).
Why T1/2 are not viewable from the Add/remove list (control panel/Add/remove) ?
T1/2 are really good programs, and I'm plannig to migrate from C-Base to T2 (when available), but I'm REALLY worried about this issue : are you guys messing with the low level OS layers, right ?? has SP1/2 anything to do with it ? ....
Quality SW is AS WELL when you can install/remove without messup your PC ..
help. please !

Tracktion vs. McAfee virus scan / Add/remove programs ..!

To be honest with you, I dislike both McAfee and Norton/Symantec. So, I can't comment on recent personal experience with either of those two programs. The free (and highly regarded) Grisoft AVG is working out very well, though, and hasn't had a conflict with Tracktion.
Tracktion uses its own windowing code rather than the built-in Microsoft windows. So I suppose it could be working at a 'low level' in the OS. If McAfee is aggressively scanning for those things and it's creating a problem, it's a shortcoming (or strength, depending on how you look at it!) of McAfee. You'll need to see if there's a way to reduce the aggressiveness of its scan method, or something, no?

My T1, T2 doesn't have problems with McAfee. Been installing uninstalling T2 for months now without McAfee ever giving me a warning.
