Arpeggiator?

I'd like an arpeggiator that works on the input (vs a filter) I guess using MidiYoke, so I can record the arpeggiations as midi instead of running midi through a filter. Can anyone point me in the right direction? This would be for Windows, I already have a solution for Mac (ReMidi).

Thanks in advance,

braj

Yeah, but I'm not sure I need to spend $50 on an arpeggiator (I know it does much more). I just need something simple.

I would be curious to know what else would work.

I do this with somthing like Arparatus or
nF_Arp2 or the arp in the FL demo .

For example in track 1, I place an arp in a filter slot (it doesn't have to be at the input) and that track outputs to midiyoke1. Then the input to track 2 is midiyoke1, my synth is on track2 also which outputs to default audio. My keyboard is going in on track 1, so, when recording, I get my keyboard notes recorded on track1, and the arp notes recorded on track 2.

Nothing I can think of. At least not *inside* Tracktion. Could be a Win standalone solution, if you intend to use MidiYoke anyway.

Use eXT + MidiYoke. You don't need the full version, because the only limitation in the demo of eXT is that you can't load saved files. Just program the arp each time, and record your input in Tracktion.

OK, I'll give it a try, thanks.

I don't doubt that, I'm just on a tight budget.

Dollars are not the only cost. A complex program requires a huge time investment to become fluid and productive. I learned some years back that this is the biggest cost of software.

I agree, thats why I use Tracktion. But learning how to do arps in EXT is well worth the (small) effort. I wouldnt use it as a sequencer yet tho. Just MHO.
