I know this problem happens less than with 2.0.1.2, and reinstallation is rather quick, but of course I hope this will be fixed for the final release!
I wonder what combination of conditions causes this? It is intermittent, so sometimes it happens twice in a session, sometimes not for three days in a row.

seems like t2 sometimes writes an incomplete settings file on closing (the one in your xp user profiles directory where also the tempfiles of tracktion are).
i have made a copy of this when everythings is working ok. so when the error accures, i simply replace the file with the one saved. hopefully this will be fixed in release version.

You have to start the following:
\Tracktion2\setup\TracktionSetup.exe -install
It will recover everything like you reinstalled it.
You can also write a .txt file and save it as ".bat" and start it everytime you get the "Installation Corrupt" error.

Go in to notepad and write out the whole "...\setup\TracktionSetup.exe -install" thing, and then save it as trackfix.bat or something like that. Then you can just double click that from your desktop or something whenever you need to fix Tracktion's installation.
Frankly this whole bug is sort of nuts. It's embarassing and aggravating to be recording or whatever and suddenly have to stop and REINSTALL the whole program.
Let's just say a friend of mine runs a cracked version of 2.0.1.4 and he has to reinstall the program all the time. He knows he didn't pay for it, but that still seems unstable, and from the looks of things it seems as if it's unrelated to the illegal copy issue. He's currently undergoing a system re-install for other reasons and he hopes to either avoid the crash or find a better fix than repeatedly reinstalling.
