(Distrito Federal sp? - Mexico City) D.F. is a terribly interesting city though despite the traffic air and (since NAFTA) crime problems - I've enjoyed many visits there.

Yup, Distrito Federal. In Mexico, they just call it "D.F." like Americans call Washington, D.C. simply "D.C."

Having lived in Mexico (the country) for 2 years, I still have the habit of calling it "D.F." but pronounced in Spanish as "Day Effay".

Of Torreon or of the Tracktionfest? I have pictures of Torreon somewhere, yup. I haven't scanned any in yet... I didn't have a digital camera back then.

Their only claim to fame is having the second largest Cristo (a statue of Christ) in the Americas, second only to the one at Rio de Janeiro.
