to Parter! w/ florida on other side. Oh my f-ing god so good, back in 86 or something, so good even my mom liked it. but then she was an ex hippie who got to see the doors live, and all that jazz, so don't be too surprise.
And all the sailors who were junkies
All went sailing out to sea
And the white man sold quaaludes to the monkeys
And they all died high up in the tree
And all the teachers who were flunkies
They all taught you and me
And the white man,
I'll be goddamned if they're still selling quaaludes to the monkeys
And they're all you and me dying high up in the tree

Pre-B hole surfers story.
Halloween party, 3rd floor North Dorm, Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas. Gibby wearing a ripped t-shirt with I Hate written in marks-a-lot and a torn sports coat with many pieces of chicken gizzard safety pinned to it. He was wandering around passing out joints rolled in orange or black rolling papers.
Crazy times. Precursor of things to come.

I saw them in Aluquerque, NM in 1993 where they opened up for Pearl Jam......First thing they did was shoot a shotgun over the crowd 3 times......I mean wow! What an attention getter
They also had 2 projection screens behind all the action (lazer lights, smoke, etc....).....1 playing Charlie's Angels.....the other showing a medical video of a root canal.....that was one crazy show!

I saw them at Lollapalooza 91' in San Diego. Thousands stood transfixed as Gibby stood in front of a huge rack of effects and warped out his vocals.
Anyone remember another band from Texas called Scratch Acid?

what can i say. These guys are truely unique. I loved'em back then. Hairway to Steven and Locust Abortion Tech are great albums. LarryLand was decent as well i think (i can't really remember it very well because somebody drove a fat-ass nail through my copy for some reason at a rez party years ago).
Gibby was interviewed on the Native Instruments website a while back. Then they took the interview down and he was then sponsored by Cakewalk for some reason.
What an awesome fuked up band. you gotta love em.

I do. 'Berserker' still gets dragged out once a year or so. Some of those folks ended up in Rapeman and Jesus Lizard.lunarhalo wrote:Anyone remember another band from Texas called Scratch Acid?

I know David Yow ended up in the Jesus Lizard, but who was in Rapeman?dystonia_ek wrote:I do. 'Berserker' still gets dragged out once a year or so. Some of those folks ended up in Rapeman and Jesus Lizard.lunarhalo wrote:Anyone remember another band from Texas called Scratch Acid?
Ah, Rapeman: Two Nuns and a Pack Mule.
Who would have guessed that Albini would end up here ?
