OK,

so I haven't downloaded the T2 demo (afraid of poor performance on my Win98SE machine) and if I read this post right - it means that there still isn't a simple comment page or track notes feature in T2?

I hate to say it, but to me it seems like the scribbler plug actually takes up CPU when I insert it in the filter section on a track. I want something that just sits static with each track, just to jot some notes on my guitar amp simulator settings or mic positioning on a track - things like that. It doesn't need to be in the audio chain.

I thought that T2 would have included this. I guess I'm surprised that it doesn't.

I'd even take a simple overall edit comment window - to make comments about unique, outside of T elements in an edit. Seems ridiculously simple.

Maybe I'm wrong about scribbler also. I quit using it when it seemed to chow the cpu.

No use of CPU for me in T1. No green coulour in the bar of CPU. No colour.
Have you downloaded the Porteplume v.1C ?

I don't know...

Scott,

I use the project comments area to make notes about amp settings and so forth. I'm not sure how much text in can hold. The only drawback is that you have to switch tabs to see the comments.

Chris,

What you describe is on a project level. I want at least edit level and even better would be track level.

Daniel, I haven't downloaded your VST yet - I'm not in front of my Tracktion system right now.

Ah...found it! Thanks.

Thanks for this
I appreciate the work you put into the graphics
which look very cool... but could you do one in a Tracktion theme?

To Stoney.

Tracktion theme ? Sorry, no for two reasons : :?

- I think I can't legally use the Tracktion's gui,

- create a gui is the most interesting moment when you create a plug. I like graphism. I like the dream of an image. In Tracktion, the graphism is excellent, austere, denuded. But it's not mine, it's not my way.

I think all my plugins have yet done by others. On internet, you can find these plugins, maybe.

I understand. Thanks anyways.

thats weird mate ... the plug does nothing but pass any signal straight through with ABSOLUTELY no processing ... it uses zero CPU here ...

Yeah if your cpu is straining with scribbler, maybe its time for an upgrade.

Funny you should say that. I'm looking to upgrade the box as well as my input module.

Right now, considering:

On the external box type of thing-
Spike (but I can't find out if I get a discount on the spike / T2 package since I'm a registered buying T1 customer)
Edirol UA 25
Alesis IO|2

PCI card -
M-audio audiophile
M-audio delta 44
Emu 1212

and for the PC, I'm still debating whether to build my own.

Last time around, I built an Athlon 1.2 GHz machine on an Asus motherboard with the VIAKT133 chipset, (which I later found was a no-no) and the darn case and hard drives are loud.

The Dell and HP desktops I use at work are silent in comparison to my home PC. I track and mix all in one room, so I need the PC to be quiet.

I might just cough up a couple hundred extra bux and get one from Sweetwater. But that puts off my T2 purchase for a few more months as the funds would have to dribble in for that.

rockstar_not,

Don't bother with the T2 demo, it won't run on win98 and if you delete it it will screw up T1.
