I don't know if I was cool before, but it ended tonight if it ever was.
I hate going to sleep pissed off, but i'm going and I'm pissed.

See... I want my upgrade, too... and I find myself a bit confused and a tiny bit upset that international customers haven't been addressed (yet!), but this is a perfect example of the kind of attitude I try to bring to my posts, which is NOT burying the issue:

- Debbiedowner had a point. There are definitely going to be different considerations for country-to-country. You can't expect them to have a blanket rebate policy that can cover the entire globe and its trade laws/practices.

-Why be so pissed off so quickly? Drink a damn beer, man. It's not even available in stores yet, so what good is a coupon going to do you even if you COULD print one off. I doubt you've been completely ignored.

Jeeziz, the more I think about it, the more ashamed I am of my OWN initial feelings of disappointment as an international customer. I mean, I have no idea when or where it's even going to be stocked yet, and THAT's the part that worries me more than some stupid coupon.

One step at a time, and given the generousity already shown, put a bit of damn trust in these people who seem to care about this forum and Tracktion users in general.

Holy crap, a bit of REEEAAAASONNN!!!!

You're like one of those women on Jerry Springer. You know the ones. As soon as they're given the smallest reason (that 'bell' sound effect) they just start going nuts on stage.

And here I naively thought the bitching would be over. Mackie is offering any T1 user an upgrade to T2 for $20.00 (a ridiculously, incredibly good deal if there ever was one...I snapped it up instantly and am still shocked at the value  ) and people still find something to be pissed about.:bang:

Mackie's not doing the rebate just to piss you off. I'm sure global marketing is tricky business, and things can't all happen at once. If Mackie can cater to those in other countries, I'm sure they will, in time. It doesn't make sense for them to intentionally piss off international customers unless they absolutely have to.

I don't think there's anywhere you can purchase the box at this point, so why not wait til it's actually available in stores near you to condemn their rebate policy?

Post

I really quite fancy the bundled version. No T2 buying till the Mackie officially say "Yae!" or "Nae!".

Ooooh, it's like election night all over again...

whats 20 bucks? less than a pizza. buy the download version then in the furure pick up the box version and give one liscence to a friend

Ezy Ryder, i am sickened with your outbursts in this thread and you really ought to be ashamed of yourself.

1) T2 is not yet available in the stores.

2) The upgrade information has only just appeared on the website (what, less than 7 hours ago), so it's not crazy to assume that not all the information is up there (when i registered mine, there was no 'coupon').

3) Your 'USA crazed' comments about mackie are probably the most blinkered, uncalled-for and nonsensical outbursts i've ever seen. i can't see a single reason for them to have been said. some information on the american side of things has thusfar been released and you feel that gives you reason for anger?

excuse me? mackie have just given us all the most ridiculously generous offer i've ever seen anyone demonstrate.

it's not yet available in the shops. therefore we're priviledged to have the option to obtain it sooner. also, this means that we're not able to GET the shop-boxed version yet, so it's irrelevant whether or not the information is all 'out there' for us. Jules is british, and a fair old number of us here are british too. information on 'our' coupon is not available yet, nor for the rest of the world, but how in jesusing bollockfaced geese do you get to your obscene conclusions?

i sincerely hope that you regret your childish outbursts in this thread. you've lost a whole lot of respect from me; from such a display of an immature lack of control it will be hard not to think of you as just any other troll.
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

I would really love to spend on the full boxed set, but it's not likely to happen without any compensation for supporting T from the beginning. Honestly feels like shit, paying twice the full price.

We are working on some sort of international upgrade program, it is complicated due to differing laws and such and we did not want to hold up the release we hope to have more soon for all our non US supporters.

We are working hard to make this the best software and the best support.

We have shipped boxed units to our European and Asian distribution centers upon this launch it should be in dealers out side the US soon call your dealer and make sure they order some!!!

Hi Ken,

If I were to get the $20 upgrade now, would I still be eligible for the rebate when that becomes available?

(I'm in the UK, but I'd imagine the US people would like to know this one, too)

Post

As Ken just said, we are working on something for you all but we needed to get the upgrade information out as T2 should be arriving in stores any day now. Thanks for understanding.

Cheers, bloke!

Beno: is it safe to buy T2 online now with regard to possible future updates?

e.g. upgrading T2 online now won't cancel future boxed upgrade?
