Questions from an FL Studio user

Hi guys. I love FL Studio but I hate the workflow. I'm thinking of changing to Tracktion 2. Got the demo and have been messing around. It's very very different than FL and I'm having a hard time working with it because of this but I think if I just give it time, I may come to love Tracktion.

Some questions I have for the board:

1. Is there any way to cycle thru VST presets using the keyboard or clicking with the mouse? I don't like drop down menus, it would be quicker to click forward and back buttons or use a + and - shortcut on the keyboard.

2. Has anyone here switched to Tracktion after using FL for a long time? If so, what challenges did switching over present and is there anything that was in FL Studio that you sorely miss in Tracktion?
Any input from a former FL user is appreciated.

3. Is there a built in arpeggiator? If not, can I get a VST arp?

4. Is time stretching & resampling supported? What kind of stretching engine is incorporated?

Thanks guys!

1. Just select the drop down menu and use the up and down arrow keys while it's in focus.
4.Is There? There is. What type? Crap

Thanks for the answers jtxx. So the stretching will probably be disappointing in comparison to FL's implementation of time-stretching using the Elastique engine... ?

Actually its the , and . (< and >) keys for presets..

Sample-rate conversion happens automatically behind the scenes (if thats what you meant), but time stretching is a bit basic..

Thanks 4 the shortcut to cycle presets!

Rewire from Tracktion to FL Studio. Or use FL Studio as a VSTi. Just for time-streching loops. Do your recording in Tracktion.

Or maybe I'm misunderestimated. I think Fruity and Tracktion make a good combination.

We wouldn't want to misunderestimate you...but the bitmap/vector culture clash could take some getting used to tho. Anyone have a 'Fruity' scheme for T2?
perception: the stuff reality is made of.
