Hiya,

thanks man!!!

Regarding final version, I'm almost there...

I got a lot of reports on minor bugs and issues, cosmetical stuff etc., which are currently in beta testing. Among these issues is support for Hold/Sustain Pedal which was broken in my VST layer, saving preset names with songs etc.

I also have added more routings to Filterscape as well as 3 new filter types to FilterscapeVA. I have yet to add a delay to VA, which is by far the most requested feature ;) But then, I also want to add two arrows to browse presets directly.

Not to forget, a yet uncounted bunch of presets will be added :D

So, gimme a couple of days. It was scheduled for end of April, but due to MusikMesse and stress it's now predicted for early May.

Cheers,

;) Urs

I purchased Filterscape yesterday too.. I didn't get to play with it much last night, but for what I did I liked it a lot. I believe I'll have more time tonight after work. It's a very nice combination of tools!

I like the sound of these last minute fixes and addons (especially the extra presets - I find these really useful when it comes to trying to understand how what everything does).

Filterscape just works so well with so many sound sources - get hold of the recently released (and free) EVM Ultrasonique synth and slap Filterscape on it - much fun to be had there :)

Derek.

Hey Urs,
What's the news on Filterscape, or have you neglected your baby for the Zeb?

Love Love Love the Filterscape, I actually have gotten a renewed appreciation in the past day or so for the VA, but the plug makes it everywhere.

Just wondering if the final release version is in the works. Can we maybe make MIDI implementation a little better for the effects? I can't seem to assign the controls, and I haven't read if there are midi cc mappings. Guess I should RTFM, huh?

Oh well. Just hadn't seen any action on this site recently.

Best,
Cheers and have a beer,
AB

Had a tough time improving and bugfixing the engine... some weird stuff, especially on the Windows side. But it looks like it's all good now, so I'm pretty much at the point of getting into final tweaks (gui adjustments for VA's delay and stuff).

Also, there's that freebee synth that I souped up for a magazine cd. The beta group got to roughly 300 *great* presets. As it's basically a rudely stripped down VA, I want to write a preset import. 300 extra - with ultra eco on cpu - doesn't sound too bad I think ;)

Takes a couple of days, but I guess if nothing serious happens, we'll be at it in a week or so.

Cheers,

;) Urs

Such a perfectionist you are Urs.

Thanks for your diligence. No wonder you produce such Feanoric jewels.

Good news Urs, even though I've had much fun with the present version already. :) Looking forward to the final release! And the extra 300 presets - simple or not - will be a good addition! And good to use as basis for programming new sounds. Keep up! ;)

Sounds quite interesting... is it safe to assume that these improvements will make it to the OSX version as well?

Hey Urs,
how long before the PC version is ready. Bought the liesence yesterday without realising there wasn't a fully working windows version. Sound good so far, apart from the white noise.

Uhm... it IS fully working...

Allthough the currently downloadable version for Windows is in beta stage, it's pretty stable and well working. All you need to do is to follow the instructions in the registration email (which you hopefully got yesterday) and the hiss is gone :)

The betaish parts are only things that are specific to my first steps in Windows development (don't be scared, I've made great progress meanwhile). There are really only some minor bugs and flaws:

- SubOsc tune in VA is one octave up
- Resonance Modulation in Filterscape doesn't work
- saved patches can't be opened by some hosts
- keeping presets and registration info in the uhe_data folder wasn't a good idea
- preset names weren't remembered when settings were saved wit song

These bugs/flaws are all fixed now, along with a huge list of improvements:

- better text readability in Win versions
- hosts display outputs named after the plugin
- I don't remember all of them, but there were many improvements in terms of performance, compatibility and graphics stuff...

I've sent out the latest beta of the AU 1.1 yesterday, while the VST Win/Mac will follow later today. If nothing serious happens and if I can keep track of my schedule of ToDos (adding preset up/down buttons to all plugs, adding a "Manual Trigger" button to Filterscape), it should be out by Sunday or early next week.

Cheers,

;) Urs
