You should probably read and consider all the posts before you output such mindless drivel.lharless wrote:<sarcasm>

(If you are bored i would suggest that you do something else instead of hanging yourself out as a complete JERK)
This is the most stupid thread i have ever seen.

I'm not a troll, but IMO, he's right--NFRs who are whining just want a free lunch. Mackie has no obligation to do anything for them. They *sell* products for *revenue*, intending to recover *development expenses* and turn a *profit* with which they can pay their *operating costs* and *shareholders' dividends*.
Capitalism, get it?

NFR users aren't whining. If you read the posts you see they have legitimate concerns (or at most, suggestions for upgrade pricing).. i didnt see one post where a NFR user talks as though mackie are obliged to do anything for them.
And resorting to dismissive language and cliches doesn't help the atmosphere on this board either.NFRs who are whining just want a free lunch

I have read the posts. I don't see legitimate concerns. I see people who want something for nothing, blathering on about "what Mackie should do" blah blah blah". Sounds like whining to me. They should go buy the damn program and STFU.
Well T2 is here and groundhogging is still in style. Just a different topic.
Bleh. Who cares.

Point out where I 'want something for nothing' in that thread or shut the f**k up yourself, you tedious little troll.

Well. Mackie sent me an email telling me to register for free because I had downloaded the demo a long time ago. I was never told the opposite. So why should I think I was not getting the same or at least a similar deal on it?
By doing what Mackie did, they effectively broke the law. Their offence is false advertising. In Washington which is where LOUD Technologies Inc. is located, there is a law to help protect consumers from false advertising and this would definately qualify as that.
etc.Whether it is illegal or simply an administrative error, this is an appalling way to treat prospective customers. Mackie should issue an appology.

Wow, you can post a few snippets. Congrats. Now explain how those few snippets back up this bullshit...
Your quotes dont have anything to do with those things. Nor do they back up some arsehole who is ignoring the fact that these are (as he puts it) 'legitimate concerns'.
So post one single snippet where someone does ask for something for nothing.
There are people who are concerned that they're going to get stiffed by exchange rate issues, that they're paying for plugins they dont need, that only US owners get a rebate on the box and that they were mistakenly sent emails that made it sounds like they would get an upgrade path.I have read the posts. I don't see legitimate concerns. I see people who want something for nothing

Well spotted. They were a reply to cbit's post. That's why i included his post as a quote in mine.

Fair enough, and I do think the 'suing' thing is a nonsense. I was disappointed by that email, myself, but it was obviously found out to be a mistake. No way of knowing that at first, though, especially since some NFR owners posted saying that they had managed to upgrade. So you can maybe see how people were getting confused and upset.

I think audiobot put it very well:
audiobot202 wrote: Re those people who go on about 'tough titties': Well, that's just simply a silly attitude. You can go on knowing that you are in the elite, but that kinda defeats the purpose of exposing Tracktion to a global audience. This forum has turned into an us versus them factional war and it's just dumb. All because Mackie decided to do a slow slow striptease and we were not given enough information.
