Hi,

I really waited for the T2 upgrade to become available - if for nothing else, to be able to sync my various Korg Electribes with Traktion.

Midi-Sync is working fine speed-wise, but when I stop Traktion my Electribes, the Yamaha DX200 and my Doepfer Regelwerk Sequenzer all keep running. They don't stop...

There must be something wrong here, this works in all other programms I use (Ableton Live!, Cubase).

I'm no expert but there is an option in settings/ miscellaneous called 'send all-controllers-off midi message when play stops'. Would this be relavent?

This option is enabled in my setup but it doesn't help... :-(
I'm in now way an expert in Midi things, but I think there are Start/Stop/Continue messages that need to be send.

Indeed,

You need to have a device that can "send\recieve" Midi Machine Control. Not sure if your devices can, indeed not sure if T2 can send it...probably would be able to recieve it tho logically.

Why not make your Korg the MIDI Master device and set T2 as the slave. Might work better for you if your sequencing with your Korg.

I'm afraid it's not possible to make the Electribe the master. Tracktion (like Cubase, but not Ableton Live!) responds only to Midi-Timecode.

Virtually every "Groovebox" or similar device only sends MIDIClock ($F8), so it can't be the master for Tracktion.

I just read in the manual of my Regelwerk that there are the following Midi messages besides MIDIClock ($F8) that Tracktion would need to send to make the control of external sequenzers as smooth as possible:

- Start ($FA)
- Continue ($FB)
- Stop ($FC)

Timecode manu -> 'send midi machine control to device' -> choose the relevant MIDI output

MMC or Midi Machine Control is something totally different - besides that's only possible to send MMC to *one* output, MMC is not the same as the basic MIDIStart, MIDIStop, MIDIContinue messages. MMC is a separate specification whereas those simple messages are part of the core MIDI specification (AFAIK).

Oh, I forgot... I tried sending MMC to my electribes - it doesn't work.
