you aren't using any plugs that require pdc are you?

Plug-in Delay Compensation: certain plugs have an inherent processing delay which needs to be compensated for on playback to keep all your tracks in sync. Usual culprits are convolution reverbs, look-ahead limiters and linear-phase EQ's.. the easiest way to find out if a plug adds any latency is to drop one on a track, and then look at the 'advance' value in the properties panel for the track. (Make sure 'auto-advance' is enabled) the value in this box will be equal to the processing delay caused by all the plugs on that track..

I've clicked on an ImpOSCar MIDI but I can't see 'advance'.platinumears wrote:The easiest way to find out if a plug adds any latency is to drop one on a track, and then look at the 'advance' value in the properties panel for the track. Select the track rather than the clip. however, i don't think a synth is likely to suffer from extra delay, its more likely to be caused by an effect placed after it..

Ah! Got it. Auto advance is enabled & the advance value is showing as 0.0 ms.platinumears wrote:Select the track rather than the clip. however, i don't think a synth is likely to suffer from extra delay, its more likely to be caused by an effect placed after it..
I don't have any effects filters on the track. It's just the ImpOSCar.

Hmm.
Does it happen with any other synths? Other MIDI clips? Could there be some patch changing going on (perhaps an adjacent clip is switching preset?)

Okay, The track I was playing was an old one I made with T1. I've just spent about an hour tinkering around with T2 (For the first time really) & I didn't have this problem on the impOSCar track I laid down.
I'll experiment further & post back if I do notice the problem occuring again.

That sounds like there was a program change assigned to the clip then.

I think there was but I've done the same thing with the new track so that the ImpOSCar doesn't reset to the first patch each time the part loops back to the start (Which was happening until I added the program change at the beginning of the part).

if it keeps resetting each time it loops, I wonder if you haven't set up a program change for an attached MIDI input device.
