Sorry, the loop thing, I was thinking of loop recording. Sorry, it was VERY late and I had a long, long day(part of which included messing with my T2 boxed bundle!).

You're in the States, right? So over there the boxed version is now available? (I missed that point ).

Over here in the UK we don't have boxed versions on sale yet... personally I can upgrade with the $20 download, or wait for the boxed version to hit the shelves and get the 3rd party stuff (...but I'm expecting the UK price to be equivalent to around $250 - $300).

Yup, I have had it for almost a day now! It's a cool box, too! Comes on three CD's, a printed manual, VERY easy registration. I now have it registered on my Mac and PC, both which took about ten seconds each. No key file to download, just instant registration and unlock!

Plus, the sounds with Sampletank 2SE are great, plus all the rest of stuff.

So do you recommend that I hold out for a boxed version in the UK to get those plugs?

I would say wait until beno confirms whether or not non-US users will be penalized for using their $20 update option to get T2 earlier rather than later.

It's imposisble to predict what the the boxed cost of T2 is going to be in any given country, or for that matter what deals Mackie may do for their customers in each respective country, so wait until you know for sure.

Meanwhile, press for clarification on the $20 upgrade issue.

Yeah i would prefer it worked like T1. Atleast I could make my own "count-in" in loop mode by placing it 1 bar before the recording point. But now it jumps to the first marker . Very annoying. I have to turn loop off before recording.

Thanks for the helpful advice valley . As I've mentioned before, RMIV was on my shopping list before the T2 announcement last December and I've been waiting to see the best route. Depending on the cost of the boxed version in the UK (which I suspect will be higher than in the US, but perhaps I'll get a pleasant surprise ) it may be worth paying the $20 T2 upgrade that I have been offered, and buying RMIV seperately (which I could then also use in Ableton Live - I'm assuming the bundled version only works in Tracktion, right?)

I'm not getting the dropped note thing anymore... Hmmm? Mac version of course, and with my small set of plugs... in T2 demo. (FM7, Absynth 2.0, Pro-53, Albino, RMIV, Beast, ChronoX3...) I've tried loop recording, and punch-in, but I don't recall it's doing it so far?? Hey I'm glad, but I don't know why it's working on my computer??

Back on-topic: I would very much like to hear from Jules or Mackie about the PDC rack bug (which appears to cause the dropped notes on recording), or the loop/count-in bug.
